Little Italy for Big Tummy
12:03 PM"Delizioso"-- That's the best word that could describe my Italian cuisine trip experience in an Italian restaurant called "Little Italy" located at the Mezzanine, Promenade 3 Greenhills Shopping Center, San Juan City, Metro Manila.
Before watching a horror film, Maria Leonora Teresa, at Greenhills cinema, my friends and I managed to bloat our stomachs first then burn it with shouts and screams that the film may cause us. Just a side comment, I was totally scared with those killer dolls.
Anyway, the courses that we chose were among the best-sellers of Little Italy.
Calamari
Well hello to our appetizer for the night. Yes, I love sea foods from soups, appetizer, to entrees. A mixed of crisp calamari, a marinara and with lemon aioli. But this dish is just a so-so for me. Expected that this calamari rings would be tasty since it's an appetizer. Checking with my tastes buds, it lacks saltiness as for the coating of the rings but nevertheless I appreciated the sour cream and tomato-based dips, it added flavor to the calamaris. And I'm going to rate this a 6/10.
Pollo
Penne pasta for this very delicious dish!A mouthwatering experience for this pasta and yes I was full after savoring the taste of this Italian cuisine. Combined well with mushrooms, Italian sausages, grilled chicken and roasted garlic creme sauce, who wouldn't drool for this? I also wanna recommend this dish if you happen to dine in Little Italy. I'm gonna rate this pasta a 9/10.
Francesca
Thinned crust pizza with rosso, Italian sausages, mascarpone, honey, pepperoncini, and parsley to end our delectable stay in Little Italy. This pie made me bloated after an hour of stay in the restaurant. As with all pizza pies, it goes along well with tabasco sauce. And oh don't forget eat this pizza while it's still hot to delight in the flavorful taste of Francesca. So this is an 8/10 for me.
Little Italy offers big amount of dish per plate, as in like it's good for 3-4 persons per plate. As their tagline goes "Expect Big". It was a satisfying stay in Little Italy. Worth the pay as it is!
