Flavors of Makan Makan Asian Food Village

Greetings from a first-time ever food blogger! Well here's a first food blog showdown!

I worked as a Marketing Communications Officer of Hotel H2O so it's always a must, as a hotelier, to blog our very own Makan Makan Asian Food Village.

Makan Makan Asian Food Village is an Asian restaurant that is located in the 2nd floor of Hotel H2O within Manila Ocean Park Complex, Luneta, Manila. They specialize, obviously, Asian cuisines from Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand,China, to of course the Philippines.

Last night my workmates and I were stranded due to typhoon Mario, in short, we're hungry and we badly need to eat before we leave the office. A stop over at Makan Makan Asian Food Village would be the best solution for that! So here's our order from last night's Asian food trip.

Yang Chow Fried Rice

First up, one of the rice specialties of Makan Makan Asian Food Village. Generously mixed with lots of shrimps, green beans, carrots, tocino, and scrambled eggs. I'm not really a fan of rice dishes but I'll give it  a 5/10 rate.

Salt and Pepper Spareribs

Forget all the cholesterol and fats from this dish. Well I may say that I could really recommend this dish to all food lovers out there. The saltiness and the crispiness of the spareribs is so just delicious. You might try this one at least once in your life. It's an 8/10 then.

Kinilaw na Tanigue or Ceviche

I'm not really into raw foods but for the sake of sharing this to all food lovers out there I need to taste it. So, this dish was in one way or the other doesn't taste bad, actually it's my first time to appreciate this dish because it doesn't smell fishy at all. The taste of the vinaigrette with tomatoes, cucumbers, and other spices complemented well. It's a 7/10.

Laksa

One of the best dishes in Makan Makan that I could ever suggest. Laksa is a mix of Chinese and Malay cuisine. Take note that this coconut-based curry noodle soup is hot and spicy. You can never go wrong when you order this very delicious culinary invention. I'm going to rate this a 9/10.

Binagoongang Kangkong

This very healthy Filipino vegetable dish is one of my faves. Sauteed with onions, garlic, red chili pepper, and sambal sauce will be a perfect combination for this one of a kind Filipino food. It's a 7/10 dish for me.

So there you have it food lovers. Have a gastronomic Asian food hopping at Makan Makan Asian Food Village.
